Working closely with its key customers, STP has implemented several lean manufacturing techniques with cellular manufacturing, Kanban Systems, and other productivity enhancing tools. The Company began formal training on lean manufacturing principles in 2003. As a result of these initiatives, since 2003, the Company continues to experience benefits from reduced inventories and increased productivity rates. 5S daily checklists are active at all operation centers within the mill. We are proud to be on this journey and welcome visitors to our plant to share in our experience.
